Our last project was a fishing magazine spread (for the girls) this went smoother for me than the Marceline comp, maybe because I was less stressed because I knew that this was the last one and that I didn't have to worry about any more deadlines. I did the production art a little backwards because i designed the comp then went looking for art. This is what caused me the most trouble but it turned out ok. All the art I found was very low resolution and ended up being only 1-2 inches after I increased the ppi to 300. What I ended up doing was enlarging it and applying a filter in photoshop or posturizing it again in photoshop. The only thing I was disappointed with was the prominence of the three fish in the foreground. They don't seem to actually be in the water but in front of the water. I would have liked to spend more time on them to make them seem to be a part of the water art. I still like the overall appearance of the spread. Here it is:
